강의 내용
Mike Waller’s talk is going to present a number of research projects from explorations into the future of interactive media objects from a University wide multidisciplinary research programme sponsored by the Levehulme trust. He is also going to present projects from the Pi-Studio about design methods and processes used in multidisciplinary innovation, which have been used as the basis of the new Masters in ‘Innovation in Practice’ at Goldsmiths. One of the focuses of Mike’s work is building bridges between research and teaching at Goldsmiths to give his students the experience of working on live projects, and to make the learning experience at Goldsmiths exciting and engaging. To illustrate this relationship Mike will present the current Masters student’s work with Microsoft and other organisations.
교수 약력
Mike Waller is currently a director of the Pi-Studio, which is a research studio at Goldsmiths, University of London. He has been the programme leader for the Masters in Design – Critical Practice and is now launching a new programme called ‘Innovation in Practice’, where design and innovation practice is used to realise new forms of products, services and events in both social and business arenas. Mike has worked in Design Research and development within Industry, and at Goldsmiths as a Senior Lecturer over the last 15 years.
